Handcrafted Dog Training Platforms for Better Learning & Belonging

A better place to learn. A beautiful place to belong.

Tyson Gill Inspired Furniture creates handcrafted MARK Dog Platforms that give dogs a clear, recognizable place for training, settling, rest and everyday family life. The MARK combines the function of a training tool with the appearance of furniture designed to remain part of your home.

Furniture With Purpose

The MARK gives the place command somewhere to land.

A dog can hear the word "place," but a defined physical destination makes the request easier to see, practice and repeat.

The MARK Dog Platform was created around that simple idea. Instead of asking a dog to understand an undefined area of the floor, the elevated deck provides a visible boundary. It can become a consistent destination during focused training, greetings, meals, household activity or quiet time.

Tyson Gill Inspired Furniture approaches the MARK as both a training tool and a piece of furniture. Stability matters. Size matters. Surface and height matter. But appearance matters too, because the platform does not disappear when training is finished. It remains in the room with the dog and the family.

Inspired by Tyson is the website that brings those pieces together. Here, dog parents can explore the MARK collection, use the sizing calculator, read canine education and news, review real customer experiences, learn about Stephen and Tyson, and contact us when a standard answer is not enough.

Find My MARK

Start with your dog, not a product size.

The Find My MARK Calculator considers how you plan to use the platform, your dog's life stage, breed or mix, weight, preferred amount of room and mobility. A compact training platform and a roomy resting platform solve different needs, so purpose comes first.

The calculator provides a practical starting recommendation and identifies situations where Stephen should personally review the answers, including unusual proportions, limited mobility, multiple dogs or measurements near a size boundary.

The Inspired by Tyson Method

Understand first. Then guide.

Training becomes more useful when we pay attention to the dog in front of us instead of treating every animal and every household exactly the same.

1

Reflect

Observe what your dog is doing and what happened before the behavior. Understanding the situation makes it easier to decide what you actually need to teach.

2

Embrace

Work with the individual dog. Age, personality, environment, confidence and history can all change what a fair and useful training plan looks like.

3

Guide

Create clear, repeatable information. A MARK can define the destination, but good timing, consistency and appropriate reinforcement give that destination meaning.

4

Celebrate

Notice progress. Calm behavior and clearer communication are worth reinforcing. Training should strengthen the relationship rather than turn every interaction into a test.

Stephen Gill with Tyson, inspiration behind Tyson Gill Inspired Furniture

Stephen & Tyson

Tyson inspired the idea. Stephen builds the MARK.

Tyson Gill Inspired Furniture began with a relationship between Stephen Gill and Tyson and the everyday process of learning how one dog experienced his home.

Watching where Tyson settled, how he responded to routines and how a familiar place could change what happened next helped shape the thinking behind the furniture. The goal became more than building another dog bed. Stephen wanted to create a defined place that could support communication while still looking intentional in a shared living space.

The MARK Dog Platforms are handcrafted by Stephen Gill in Florida. Tyson was the inspiration that helped give the work its direction, and that relationship ultimately helped shape Tyson Gill Inspired Furniture.

Inspired by Tyson grew into the website surrounding that work. It connects the furniture with dog education, news, customer experiences, the Find My MARK Calculator, and stories about living with and learning from dogs.

Coming Soon

The 7-Day MARK Guide

We are creating a practical seven-day introduction to place work with the MARK. It will focus on introducing the platform, helping your dog understand the destination, rewarding calm behavior, building duration and beginning to use the routine during normal life at home.

The guide is not live yet, so this homepage does not send you to a nonexistent page. Once the guide is finished, this section and the buttons above can be connected directly to it.

The furniture is only the starting point.

Find My MARK helps choose the platform. The future guide will help dog parents begin creating meaning around that place so the product becomes part of a useful routine.

Before You Choose Your MARK

A few helpful questions.

Start with these answers, use Find My MARK for sizing, or contact Stephen when your dog or project needs a more personal answer.

What is a MARK Dog Platform?

A MARK Dog Platform is a handcrafted elevated platform that gives a dog a visible, defined destination for training, settling, rest and everyday household routines. The clear physical boundary can make the place cue easier to understand and repeat.

How do I choose the right size?

Start with the Find My MARK Calculator. The best starting size depends on how the platform will be used, the dog's life stage, size, preferred resting space and mobility. Dogs with unusual proportions or special circumstances can be reviewed personally by Stephen.

Is the MARK Dog Platform only for training?

No. A MARK can provide a precise destination for place training, but many dogs can also use their platform for settling and rest. A dog who will sleep on a MARK may need more surface area than a dog using it primarily for focused training.

Who makes the MARK Dog Platforms?

The MARK Dog Platforms are handcrafted by Stephen Gill in Florida through Tyson Gill Inspired Furniture. Tyson inspired the idea and the relationship that gave the furniture business its direction. Inspired by Tyson is the website that brings the furniture, training resources, articles, calculator and Stephen-and-Tyson story together.

Do you work with dog trainers, stores and other collaborators?

Yes. We welcome appropriate conversations with dog trainers, breeders, pet stores, retailers, referral partners, writers, subject-matter contributors and other people or organizations whose work may fit the Inspired by Tyson mission.

What kinds of articles does Inspired by Tyson publish?

The site publishes dog news, canine education, behavior and training information, food and safety coverage, personal Stephen-and-Tyson stories, and broader IT Matters commentary. The homepage latest-stories section is designed to surface the newest published work across the participating blog collections.
